Cricket in !ndia

Cricket is no less than a religion in India. Whenever a cricket match is scheduled in any corner of the globe and if India is featuring in that then, there is only one channel that will be running in every house of India. No prizes for guessing and that would be a ‘Sports Channel’. Click here for a sample demonstration of the game.
Every game in this world has produced masters of the game and cricket is no exception. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Don Bradman… the space here is too less to cover the list of such great players. Among the above the only playing legend at the moment is Sachin. There is famous line that every person who worships the master blaster would know. ‘If cricket is religion then Sachin is God’. Here is a link to the video of Sachin’s first interview
Another cricketer following Sachin’s footsteps is Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the current India skipper. Under his reins India has been conquering feats that one had never imagined few years back. India is ranked 2nd in the international cricket test ratings after Australia. Under Dhoni’s management on the field India clinched the first T20 world cup, the Australia one dayers (in Australia) followed by a test series win against the champions in tests this year. Dhoni has been displaying a lot of potential in most of the departments of the game. He is a well established batsman, athletic wicket keeper and above all a smart thinker on the field and off the field. Dhoni, a billion people can now focus on other secondary work since BCCI (Board of Control for cricket in India) has for the first time taken an absolutely correct decision.
Dhoni, all the best and lets bubble up our position in the test rankings by ONE.

Is this economic crisis good for some people?

It feels extremely bad to witness the era of such bad economic crisis all across the globe.
How can one sustain during such difficult times? This one question is bothering every single person. One needs to take this positively and take decision as to chase his dreams. This is the right time for all of us get away with our routine work and think something different that would help ease out the problems in our lives forever.

All the blue chip companies are cutting down on the costs and hence people end up losing their jobs. It’s truly saddening that the livelihood of so many people and their families is getting affected. One needs to cope up with this.

We need to get inspired from the likes of Steve Jobs (who was fired from his own company ‘Apple’). He never quit fighting after this incident. We need to develop such killer instinct within ourselves to negotiate such problems. So let’s forget the rest and stand united to face such problems.
